Job Title: Trade Assistant to Carpenter
Location: Parahils west
Shift- Days from 7.00am
Position Type: Full-time- casual
Salary Range: $37.00
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Trade Assistant to work alongside our team of carpenters. As a Trade Assistant to Carpenter, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to carpentry work, such as measuring and cutting materials, assembling structures, and maintaining tools and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist carpenters with measuring and cutting materials according to specifications
- Help in assembling and installing structures, such as framing, cabinets, and furniture
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times
- Other duties as assigned by the lead carpenter or supervisor
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a trade assistant or in a similar role
- Basic knowledge of carpentry tools and techniques
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment
- Physical strength and stamina to lift and carry heavy materials
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
